This is going to be my last post until we return from our farming, fishing & hunting adventure. Were taking a short flight to Chicago next week, pick up my bro and his family, then drive 7-8 hours to a remote town in Iowa. We had accepted my Aunts' invitation to visit her house in the farm - and at the same time have a joint b-day bash (my brother, his 2 sons, and S) for all the Virgos in da haus! Maybe we could get a chance to help with their corn harvest? (I meant help in eating the corn). We actually had to squash S' expectations that there'll be some funny animal scenes similar to the movie, The Barnyard.
At any rate, were all tickled. This is going to be some road trip! Before I go, I'm gonna leave 'ya all with my Summer Cooler recipe:
At any rate, were all tickled. This is going to be some road trip! Before I go, I'm gonna leave 'ya all with my Summer Cooler recipe:
a bottle of Silver White Tequila (store in the freezer)
Pineapple juice
fresh pineapple slices
bunch of fresh mint
Sprite
Grenadine syrup
Optional: peeled fresh lychees
Lots of Ice Cubes
Drop in pineapple slices and lychees in a large clear glass pitcher.Fill 1/4 of the pitcher with tequila.
Pour in pineapple juice until pitcher is about 3/4 full.
Then add Sprite (for sparkle) until almost to the top.
Leave enough room for a large scoop of ice cubes.
Slowly pour in 2 ounces (or more, to taste) of Grenadine syrup.
Garnish with a bunch of fresh mint leaves.
To serve:
Drop a small piece of pineapple, a whole lychee (warn guests of the seed!), and a couple of crushed mint leaves in each glass.
Pour in the punch.
Miniature umbrella optional.
ENJOY!!

enjoy on your road trip!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SAMIA!! I'm sure she'll enjoy the non-alcoholic, pineapple/lychee version of this punch. Save a toast to the b-day girl for me...
