Airport Scene

Were baaaack!! Back to the city, back to work, back to school...
Yup - back to stress.

'Had a fantastic time at my Uncle/Aunt's farm in Iowa. We ate healthy - picked organic veggies straight from the garden. I can't say "drank healthy", though. Folks out there started guzzling Bud Light from mid-morning till night (which suited P perfectly). I guess they preferred drinking beer to drinking the well water.

We took an early morning flight out from La Guardia. Which meant that we were scarfing down scrambled eggs, bacon, and hash browns in the airport by 6 AM.
S made her purchases the first five minutes after we had checked in:

- Assorted bubblegum
- Pencil with a Statue of Liberty cap (never mind that she already had a Ziploc full of markers)
- Blues Clues and Nicktoons magazine

Alas! 30 minutes before boarding time, there was an announcement that the flight was going to be delayed for another hour due to rainy/cloudy weather conditions in Chicago.
By this time, S had finished half of her take-home homework and some mazes.

Fed up with sitting, we browsed around the shops for a pencil sharpener.
Finding none, she got these instead :

- A multicolored monkey Critter Piller neck pillow
- A pretzel hotdog and juice

Then we went back to our seats and waited ("bored stiff" pose)...
and waited ("wearisome & sleepy look")...

and waited ("bored to death" pose) some more.

Thank God they finally allowed us to embark the plane before S could ask to run through another shop!
