Slava's Snowshow

LINK: http://www.snowshowusa.com/

Some friends were in town for a visit and since they have an 8 year old son, we decided to meet up for an evening of clowning (Cirque Du Soleil style) fun.DEREK SCOTT (above, shown with S) played the lead character, Slava (Yellow clown). He has been working all over the world as an actor, comedian and director. As a stage actor, Derek has just returned from performing in the CanStage production of The Overcoat at the Barbican Theatre in London, the Adelaide Festival (Australia), Wellington Arts Festival (New Zealand) and Bergen Festival (Norway). He has also been a member of the prestigious Stratford Shakespearean Festival Company and Cirque du Soleil. He recently was featured in a TV pilot for the Disney Channel (directed by Robbie Benson). He also plays a recurring character of Dr. Qu on Gene Roddenberry's Earth: Final Conflict. Derek's career to date was documented and aired in two separate one-hour TV specials entitled "Ta-Dah!" (Canada) and "Telemebanana" (Australia).

There were 4 other clowns who played the Green Clowns and together, these 5 Bozos were a riot.

It's an interactive show. Expect the unexpected - giant cobwebs, bubbles, giant bouncing rubber balls, wind storm, and lots and lots of "snow". We were seated on the 2nd row, Orchestra - and I actually lost my bottle of water to this prankster, Yellow, when he unexpectedly went down the stage and grabbed it from my hands, drank from it, then gleefully sprayed the rest of the water to a few horrified audience. I guess he wanted to make up for wasting my drink, so he grabbed S for a quick photo op. Sweet.
This show is truly a side-splitting spectacle!!
