Captain Hook Sailing Adventure
Ships Ahoy!!! This pirate ship has everything: A dynamic show, dinner, non-stop booze, contests/games, and dancing. We boarded (dock located at the back of Teatro Cancun Blg.) an Authentic 18th Century Spanish Galleon Replica at 7:00 PM for a 3 and a half hour sail around the Nichupte lagoon.
When we checked in for sailing, they assigned us to one of two (Green or Red) pirate ships. We had S, so we were assigned to the Green one, which seemed to be the designated "family/kids" ship. During the sail, the little ones were invited to tag along with a pirate in search of a lost treasure chest, and each kid came back with a small black pouch full of candies. We had 3 dinner choices: Lobster, Steak or Surf and Turf. The sides, as well as all the drinks, were unlimited.
After dinner, the Red Ship caught up with the Green one and we all witnessed a spectacular pirate attack complete with cannon blasts and swordfighting. It was full of action, drama...
...and "death". Awwww!
All's well that ends well. The trip was capped off with loud music and dancing. Fueled by alcohol, no one needed to be prodded to show off their unique moves on the dance floor.
We posed for a hilarious photo souvenir with the "Prince" look-a-alike Captain before disembarking the ship. We're leaving tomorrow so I wont be hanging out at the beach or pool today. I'll be in search of cheap souvenirs so my day will be spent at flea markets and stalls. Let's see how far my haggling will go.
